Ice Maker Repair


On 8/12/2016, Sears Service Center (Chapel Hills Mall, Colorado Springs, CO) sent a service person to our home to fix our ice maker machine in our refrigerator. The person fixed it and charged me $99.00 on the spot, which I paid with my credit card. In September the charge showed up as such ($99.00), but later that month I received a bill from a "collection agency" stating this $99 was not paid!? I contacted Sears (CH Mall) who hung up on me, called back and someone else answered and stated they had NO record of any service being provided to this address. They gave me another number to call and this person was able to find our bill and stated it was not paid for. I told him it was and could show proof. He had me e-mail him my receipts, etc. and then replied back he was sorry for the inconvenience and it would be cleared up. In September 2016, I received yet another statement from this collection agency stating I still owed $99.00. Again, contacted Sears and they gave me the run around stating it was out of their hands and for me to fax all my receipts, statements, etc. to this "1-800" they gave me. So I did that, but in October here comes another notice from this collection agency! Same runaround with Sears again and another repeat this November (2016). This last time I was asked again to provide these receipts to them via e-mail, which I did. First one was sent back stating they couldn't open .pdf files and asked me to send them in .jpeg files, so I did that. Returned that one stating was too big and they need to be a smaller size, so I did that. That e-mail too was returned (on 11/23/2016) stating it could not be opened. I'm obviously getting the runaround by a company that has no customer service qualities. I'm at a lost and will not give up to the point I'm going to the Better Business Bureau and the next stop is hiring a lawyer. This is ridiculous and though I've been buying all my home appliances through Sears, that has certainly come to an end. Just horrible, HORRIBLE customer service....
