Kenmore Central Air Conditioner - Kenmore Air Conditioner


Feb.9,2006 I purchase a Kenmore Supreme 14 seer 5ton central a/c. I paid $8545.00 for the system. The house is 1800 square feet and Sears sold me a 5 TON unit. I've had 2 HVAC repair men tell me I should have been sold a 3 ton unit. I started having problems within the first year of ownership and the A/C has broken every summer for the last FOUR years. Last week the air goes out Sears comes out and says that the compressor needs to be replaced. The part is covered ,they lie and say it isn't luckily I have paprerwork to prove it is under warranty and I have to pay $600 labor charge. He orders the part and scheduled the appointment for the following day Wed 7/22 btwn 1-7pm. I call at 5pm to find out the ETA. I was told 8pm. Strange but I'll take it! The repair man doesn't show or call. The next day Thu 7/23 I call and was told he would be there by 11am.At 12:04pm I get a call from repairman that I can't answer because I'm working. My husband texted me 4 minutes later saying Sears is at the house and no one is answering door. I call my tenant who is waiting in the only room w/ a room a/c and tell them to go to the door. The repairman had already left. He never called when he was on the way (Sears Policy)and he left within 10min. My tenant calls to see if he will come back. The repair man yells at my tenant asking her who is going to pay for this and then refused to come back. I call "customer service" and complain and I'm told they will come back out Sat 7/25 btwn 1-7pm.I get an email Sat afternoon saying my appt. has been rescheduled for Wed 7/29???I spend 2 hours on the phone w/various depts and then told the reason they weren't coming was the parts warehouse is closed on Saturdays and they couldn't get the part I needed.WHAT??? I've bee lied to and told parts weren't under warranty, and trusting the repair man at the time, paid for them. If you need service from Sears go over all of your paperwork and warranty information because they cannot be trusted to give you correct warranty information.Sears customer service is the worst I've ever encountered. I will never shop there again and will complain to everyone who will listen. They are thieves!
