I notice my roof had a leak so i called four companies to make estaments for repair all of which said the same thing, i need a new roof, and i do, one estament was $5,400, 2nd was 5,500, third 7,800, and the last $8,500, Sears was 7,800, i went with sears because sears had the best offer and financed, financed was the deciding factor for me, i saved up $5000 to pay off a credit card and was going to put this down on the roof instead, the sales man gave me a 9% finance charge on the loan from saers for the roof and said i could still use my 5000 to pay off my other credit card and save $ in the long run because the other card intrest rate was 23% compared to the 9% i would be paying sears and sears would give me 100% on the finance. So the next day i paid my other card off, the sales man seemed to be a great guy we talked it all over for hrs and in that time my wife had come home from work and she started cooking dinner while we talked over the details, He commented on how good her cooking smelled so we invited him to eat with us , he did, after dinner we signed the contract of coffee He left after that and we didnt hear nothing for 1 week, I called, but, no one, the contract did say 1 to 3 weeks so we waited, 2 weeks went by then the sales man called and said the he had only measured half the roof and it was going to cost me double to replace now ($15,600.00) i told him i couldnt go that so he termanated the contract, that didnt make no sence to me, i geuss all the estaments i got were wrong cause they were all close to his, and contract said couldnt get out of it after three days, it had been 2 weeks, he new my roof was leaking and he made me wait 2 weeks, i put my $5000 on the other card so i have no money for a roof now, other roofers want cash half up front and the other half at finish if i take cash out on my card ill pay a even higher intrest rate for cash, then i got a new credit card in the mail from city bank i didnt know anything about threw sears good for $10,000, well, if i hadnt payed off my other card so fast i could finance 10,000 threw my new card and put $5000 down in cash, the more i think about the whole thing the more it stinks, i found black mold on my celling today were the roof has been leaking for the pass week it has been raining, i have no money, no contract, and no roof insite.
