GE fridge, ice maker leaking, ice dispenser broken by repairman - GE side-by-side refrigerator

I'd always had good luck with repairmen from Sears in the past, so I bought their Home Warranty. In late January I called because I had ice dripping down the inside wall of my freezer. A repairman came five days later and said the ice chute wasn't working properly. I doubted this was the cause for all that dripping but the part was ordered and installed a week later.

The new ice chute door stuck open. The contractor came out three days later and lubed it. It worked for a while.

Meanwhile I still had water dripping inside my freezer. I let it continue to do so for a while as they had refused to believe the ice maker was dripping. Finally I had puddles of ice built up, locking the freezer shelves in place, and called the home warranty service again. Once again they sent out the repairman from the same company and he determined that I needed a new icemaker.

He shut my ice maker off, and while I awaited approval of the new ice maker from the warranty company we were without ice. Three weeks.

He installed the new icemaker. Three days later, the ice dispenser stopped releasing ice. I looked inside and saw ice was being dumped into the chute so I had to remove it by hand. We stopped using the dispenser while awaiting another service call. I also informed the warranty company and the contractor that the ice maker was jamming, ice cubes were coming out in big chunks that had to be removed by hand. He dismissed this as unimportant and walked out saying I'd have a new dispenser mechanism in four or five days.

Eight days later I still had no call from anyone. I called the warranty company again to report that now I not only had a leaking ice maker but they had not followed through on their promise to fix the dispenser. I was assured I would get a call from the contractor that very afternoon. No call.

So I called the home warranty people again. Three months of trying to get this fixed is beyond reason. But now I have more broken than I did when I first called. Every part they replaced has failed. Now I am waiting indefinitely for a response from their "repair and replacement division" which will investigate.

Three months with increasing problems, ice building up on my shelves, no icemaker, no dispenser...and very rude treatment from the "repair supervisor" who came out to see the problem.

Finding a good repair service is hard. I had hoped Sears would continue their high quality of the past. Nope. I wouldn't recommend their home warranty to my worst enemy.
