I wish I had read all of the complaints from other sites. I haven't read one positive remark about Sears appliances.
We purchased all our appliances from Sears in 2012 as we renovated our whole house. We bought the extended warranty as well.
My refrigerator/ freezer a 3 door Kitchenaid has had a problem with the ice machine breaking down. They replaced it, no problem. Now a couple of months later, the freezer has ice all around and water is seeping from the door onto my new hardwood floors. I called the Sears service department today June 16 and no one will come until June 25. I was upset, kept my cool and asked them who was going to repair my floors when the water warps the wood around. They said, we will take pictures of the damage and call our insurance(Sears insurance). They will have a mess to deal with. Because of the leaky water, the fridge could go through the floor or the water can cause mold, or damage to the basement ceiling. To no avail, I could not get through to this SEARS service lady. I hung up. I will take lots of pictures. Never will I support Sears for my home. I need a Home Vac system, but they will not see me. I'm disappointed and thoroughly let down. Shame on you Sears. Have you read all of the reviews even, Homestars?
