  • poor service

    I have had it with Sears (Order Number:000774441667075). I had a service appt scheduled today between 8am-12pm. At 12pm i called to find out the techs ETA because my husband had to leave for work. I was told between 1-3pm. At 2:30pm I called again to be told 4pm. At 4pm i was told 4:30. at 4:30 i was told the tech came at 12:30.....Which is an outright LIE. because ; 1.- The tech was suppose to call when in route. 2. I was home from 12:30 to 6pm.......   • Furnace repair extortion

    Our heating broke down a few days before Christmas, I was having trouble getting an engineer to come but Sears had an appointment. The Engineer came the next day, he identified the problem as the inducer motor and said the part was $1300 so it would be around $1500 with labor. He tried to get me to pay $1400 for an appointment 2 weeks later. I declined as it seemed high and was a long wait. When he left I googled the part - it was around $200.   • Freezer Repair

    Had a horrible experience with Sears Home Repair services. I have a Sears protection plan for my Frigidaire Chest Freezer. A few days after I purchased the protection plan, my temperature alarm started going off for no reason, even though the freezer is functioning properly. I called Sears service, and waited 10 days for someone to come to the house, they did, told me they had to order a part, and re-scheduled me for another 2 weeks out.   • Air Conditioning

    Air conditioner was replaced in 2012, 11 months later it stopped. Service called and they said it was not their problem and left. I call 7 times over 3 weeks but never had a tech call back. I got another company to fix it. It cost me $250.00. The original install was done incorrectly obviously because it has worked fine since. The 24v line had shorted out the transformer.     When you first call Sears Home Repair, you feel like a valued customer – they seem so nice and accommodating. But that’s about where it ends. In May 2013, our washing machine stopped draining and was giving an error code.     This was the worst experience ever!!! Today is 5/17/13 and it's been three weeks since I've had a fully functional kitchen. They did a decent job on the cabinets BUT no drawers yet, and a very shabby electrical job.   • New AC unit installed

    This ticket has been resolved or replied to by this company. Sears Home services installed a new unit at my home in Columbia SC on April 26, 2013. The inspector from South Carolina codes and inspections came out on 4/29 for the check and said that the breaker was too high for the system 50 Amp it needed to have a 20-30 amp. My reference number is 15366322. Everything about this service installation was below any standard I would have thought Sears would provide.   • Worthless Repair Service

    My Kenmore Elite Range has been out for a month. Your repair team seems to have no clue how to find the problem. First visit result was wrong part identified. That wasted three weeks. Second visit had the right damaged part but not the reason the board was blown out. Third visit replaced the bad board which promptly blew out again because the problem had never been id'd.   • bad ac equipment

    This ticket has been resolved or replied to by this company. after only 14 months a n a coil leaked out all coolant and sears wants to charge me over 800 dollars to replace warranty equipment. the whole Kenmore 4 ton system was replaced because of a leaking a coil,the selling point was that you cant replace just a coil because of refrigerant change. so, now i owe sears over 6,000.00 and i still have the original problem. i know and sears knows that the equipment was faulty before the 1 year labor warranty was up. they just want to get deeper into my very dissapointed in a company that i thought was reputable!!!     Refrigerator has been down 4 days.. Repair Tech out Monday. Emergency ordered compressor. Said it would be here Tues afternoon Sept. 27. Not here. Was suppose to be fixed Wed.     To say I am extremely disappointed in my recent repair request(s) from Sears would be a huge understatement!!! The facts are: Our less than 2 year old, $2000 Kenmore fridge quit cooling on 9/3/2011. The fridge has a 5 year "sealed refrigerant system" I called Sears and they scheduled an appointment for 9/12/11 (9 days after the initial call).     I purchased a service agreement today (Saturday)for $251.99 with a guarantee of same day service. My appt was scheduled from 8 to noon today. I received a call back from Kelly to advise that due to excessive overtime today, my appt was cancelled and the next earliest appt I could get would be next Thursday. I then requested to cancel my service agreement and was put on hold.     Hello, I am writing to report that we were grossly overcharged by Sears Home Services for an in-home freezer repair. To put it plainly, we were ripped off and we want others to know about it so they don't experience the same unjust exploitation. We received an email before the visit that listed the estimated cost as $65 as well as the guarantee that they would give us an estimate before starting work. We received no estimate from the tech.     I have called sears for air duct cleaning. There were at least 4 guys to do the service.Then they will start telling you about UV air filter and hopw bad is your machine. They go into your air machine and take some pics. Pics they wil show you will be all rusted and they will not be able to show you again. It's a scam to trick you to install the machine.     My Bosch Dishwasher needed a new main pump. Called Sears and made an appointment for 9a-1p at my apartment in NYC. Called at 12:30, they said he was on his way to my house. Guy finally showed up at 2:15 claiming he had no idea what my time windows was. He also added that Sears had lied about having called him at 12:30.     Kenmore range controls are defective. Called Sears Home Services. First visit went well and detected faulty switches. Parts ordered and follow on scheduled. Parts did not arrive on time. I called to reschedule, & was given two choices 1/5 from 10am to noon, or 1/6 from 8 to 10 am. I chose 1/6.   • Horrible call center and no alternative

    Scheduled appointment for non-functioning GE washer that was routinely serviced by Sears Home Services less than 2 months ago. Stuff happens. Scheduled for the day after we get home from vacation (read "lots of dirty clothes"). Plan on taking 1/2 day off work. Technician calls at 7:30AM to say that he will be here by 8 or just a little after. NO SHOW. At 10:30, I call the customer service #. They say they will call the technician and have him call me.
