    We called in to Sears Home Services initially in July 2015 to have our washing machine fixed. It leaked water causing rotted floors, that we are still trying to get done, but our insurance company has been waiting on a quote from the technician.     I had a complete AC and furnace system done by Sears four years ago, parts are under warranty for five years, broke down, called service, they wanted $589.49 for labor to repace compressor and capacitor, I paid $69. for service call tech.   • No Response, No Refund

    I had a technician come out, diagnose a need for expensive parts, order them, and they arrived in a few days. So far, so good. But it would be weeks before they could come back to repair our refrigerator. Meanwhile we found a local man who fixed it without needing the parts. We returned the parts and were promised a refund.     I am extremely disappointed with Sears Home Repair services! I am demanding a full refund of the money I spent on my service call.     I'd always had good luck with repairmen from Sears in the past, so I bought their Home Warranty. In late January I called because I had ice dripping down the inside wall of my freezer. A repairman came five days later and said the ice chute wasn't working properly. I doubted this was the cause for all that dripping but the part was ordered and installed a week later.   • Pathetic Service

    I recently purchased a riding lawnmower for Sears...and was assured that it would be fully operational when delivered (and that any questions I might have about its operation would be answered). The delivery team basically dumped it on my doorstep.   • Sears Replacement Window Warranty

    In 1991 Sears replaced the windows in my house with energy efficient "lifetime" warranty windows. We have recently encountered some problems with some of the windows. I have the original paperwork which states the warranty documentation will be mailed after installation. I cannot locate the documentation and think it likely I never received it.     Called to have my dryer fixed, took a week to get somebody, came out replaced the heating element, spent over $100 for something that took maybe 15 minutes.     This is the worst place to send your BRAND NEW CRAFTSMAN Snow Blower to be fixed.     We had a patio door installed approximately four months ago. The installer s were extremely knowledgeable and did a very good job on the install. Also the installers after service was very good.     I bought a split system heat pump / air handler from sears just under 3 years ago. I cost me over $8000.00!! In the last 5 weeks I have had them out 5 times.     We have had Sears service contracts on several appliance for years and their service keeps getting worse. On the most recent visit the technician told me he works for a group Sears outsources the work to. That might be ok except the same washer just failed again and the best they can do is send someone out in 2 1/2 weeks. I think the today's Sears is not what use to be.More I deal with customer service ,which everything by the way is in Philippines ( what the shame our citizen looking for jobs )) is mostly not done.I wait for dishwasher service from August 2014. Repairman came, if I'm not mistaken three or four times.Ordered parts twice ,and so far nothing is done. Beside this shitty service I think I shop at Sears twice.FIRST AND THE LAST TIME. I had a refrigerator repair yesterday. The technician was competent and all went well, AFAIK.
My complaint is about the cost. The labor charge was $200 to install a $20 part, and the total time from when he entered the house to when he left was 30 minutes. That's $400 an hour! Even if there were a one-hour minimum, that's $200/hour. TOO MUCH! I have 40 years of clinical experience as a therapist and Blue Cross reimburses me $88/hour.

Unacceptable customer service.
I purchased a service contract for my KitchenAid dishwasher and was told that a service technician would be at my home between 1 and 5. I called them back at 4 and was told someone would be there at 5. I called back at 5 and was told someone might be here about 7 because there were 3 people ahead of me but couldn't guarantee it. I asked to speak to a supervisor with no luck. The people I were dealing with sounded like they were all from the Philippines and was difficult to understand. I cancelled the contract the same day and will never use Sears again for anything. I will discourage anyone from using sears.

beware of sears. i had them come saturday which they were late and when the tech came he said without turning on my central ac that i had no freeon and it was goign to be 650 bucks. i told him to forget it. my oil company came today and had freeon in it and checked my whole system out and put in 1 1/2 tons of free on and total cost 250 . todays tech stated how can sears do a ac check without the system being on. the sears guy did a temp check without the system on. i will never use sears agaim. they were good years ago something has changed. they are ripping people off beware consumers
